Remembrance Sunday 2019
We will remember them!
On Remembrance Sunday 2019, REVI laid a wreath at the Polish War Memorial in Audley End.
“Today, we remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. In particular, the Polish members of the Special Operations Executive who trained for missions in Poland, in Audley End. This memorial commemorates the achievements of those who parachuted into enemy occupied Poland and gave their lives for the freedom of this and their own country.”
In addition, REVI also took part in The Royal British Legion Remembrance Parade in Braintree.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them!”
